Exhibition graphics and online degree show displaying work by CalArt’s 2021 graduated MFA cohort in Art, Photography & Media, and Art & Technology.
The site design and exhibition is particularly inspired by the colon within the title, a punctuation mark which often appends elements of language—either changing meanings entirely or amplifying the original meaning. Designed with ambiguity in mind, the typography of the landing page expands and contracts, cycling through legibility and illegibility. The index of works acts also as a navigatory tool, with each number revealing a corresponding image upon hover and representing its own unique artist.
